ST v AR [2025] EWFC 4

Judgment was handed down today in ST v AR [2025] EWFC 4.

The applicant was represented by Nichola Gray KC, instructed by Hannah Hayward and Rebecca Carylon of Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP and the respondent was represented by Richard Todd KC and Joshua Viney who were instructed by Simon Bruce, Jessica Reid and Amelia Alston of Dawson Cornwell.

This is one of the first big money cases to be decided in the aftermath of the Court of Appeal’s decision last year in Standish v Standish, with the question of matrimonialisation being a central consideration. The case also considers the question of pre-marital cohabitation and needs.
