Legal Business recognition for new silk: Nicholas Wilkinson KC

We’re delighted to thank Legal Business, the magazine powered by the Legal 500, for spotlighting Nicholas Wilkinson KC in its recent feature, ‘The silk class of 2026: ten names to note’.

Nicholas’ recognition as one of the 10 names to note, out of the 96 outstanding candidates recommended for appointment, marks an important moment in what has already been an outstanding career; the pinnacle being Nicholas’s appointment as King’s Counsel in the upcoming ceremony on 23 March 2026.

As Legal Business explains, Nicholas is ranked by the Legal 500 for family: divorce and financial remedy, with a practice defined by heavyweight, high-value and complex financial remedy litigation. Nicholas has also enjoyed a Band 1 ranking in Chambers & Partners, where he is referred to as a “serious heavyweight”, “brilliant advocate” and “star performer”.

The article highlights the depth of his experience as a senior junior, particularly in cases involving international and ultra-high-net-worth issues, including representing Princess Haya of Jordan in her proceedings against Sheikh Mohammed, the Ruler of Dubai, in what has been said to be the most far-reaching case that the Family Division has ever seen.

Nicholas has achieved stellar outcomes in the High Court as sole counsel against silk and junior teams and has cemented his position as the go-to for big money Schedule 1 awards for children of unmarried parents, having appeared in all four of the highest awards.

This acknowledgement reflects not only Nicholas’ technical excellence and strategic skill, but also his reputation for handling demanding and high-profile cases with clarity, tenacity and authority.

We’re proud to see his achievements noted by Legal Business and the Legal 500 and we warmly congratulate Nicholas on both this coverage and his well-deserved promotion to King’s Counsel.
