Practice

Jude is an experienced and thorough financial remedies practitioner and is also proficient in private law children work. She has a particular expertise and interest in Schedule 1 cases (including where these combine with cohabitant claims under TLATA) and is the author of the chapter on financial provision for children in the new edition of Rayden & Jackson on Family Matters. Jude is increasingly instructed to act in complex ‘Intervenor’ cases involving third party claims.

Jude advocates a pragmatic approach grounded in legal principle and responsive to the particular case and client. She is known for having instinctive common-sense judgment from the outset and for being extremely client friendly; empathetic whilst ensuring that she gives realistic and commercial advice as to outcome. She is a firm litigator but places equal emphasis on effective negotiation inside and out of Court.

Jude is a Resolution all issues mediator and has a busy mediation practice, where she is able to bring her calm manner and creative thinking to the fore in order to assist her clients in reaching bespoke solutions.

Jude has lectured widely, through Chambers, for Jordans and more informally for solicitors on request.

Financial remedies especially Schedule 1, cohabitation disputes and Private Law children.
