P v M [2026] EWHC 1330 (Fam)

Lydia Newman-Saville successfully represented the appellant wife in P v M [2026] EWHC 1330 (Fam), an appeal against a decision of Her Honour Judge Wright, heard by Mr Justice Harrison.

The wife’s appeal centred on the unfairness of the hearing below, in which judicial intervention had prohibited the proper testing of the husband’s evidence, but provides important guidance on the court’s jurisdiction to make global orders following a calculation by the CMS.
