Helliwell v Entwistle in the Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has refused the wife’s application for permission to appeal in Helliwell v Entwistle [2025] EWCA Civ 1055, thus affirming the Court of Appeal’s decision (commented on more fully here), and their finding that the wife’s non-disclosure was both material and fraudulent.

As before, the matter has been remitted to the High Court for a fresh consideration of the husband’s needs.

Deborah Bangay KC, Phillip Blatchly and Lydia Newman-Saville continue to act for the husband, instructed by Michael Chapman and Grace Matthews of JMW Solicitors LLP.
