Ben Wooldridge appointed as Recorder on the South Eastern Circuit

We’re delighted to announce that Ben Wooldridge has been appointed as a Recorder on the South Eastern Circuit.

This appointment forms part of the latest round of Recorder appointments made by The King, following recommendations from the Lord Chancellor, the Rt Hon David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill. The appointment takes effect from 11th May 2026.

Ben will begin sitting as a Recorder in family cases from 2027. His appointment reflects his expertise, sound judgment and commitment to the highest standards of advocacy in family law.

We warmly congratulate Ben on this significant professional milestone and look forward to supporting him as he takes on his judicial role alongside his continued practice at the Bar.
